Venue Spotlight: Tipsy Goat Estate
A southern home almost 200 years old, a 1920's barn, PEACOCKS and FAINTING GOATS, few venues deliver the charm you'll find at Tipsy Goat Estate in Rock Hill, South Carolina. You've been to one banquet hall---you've been to them all! Now, couples hoping to step out of the ordinary and into the extraordinary can break the mold on a picturesque property, blending history and nature on their wedding day.

With its open fields and running creeks, Tipsy Goat Estate is truly a hidden gem. Honestly, when another vendor brought up Tipsy Goat at a mixer, I thought she was talking about a bar! However, I was blown away to find an 1820's house that holds the record as the oldest habitable home in York County. I was even more impressed when I learned the venue doubles as an animal sanctuary. The fainting goats and peacocks are all animal rescues, a project near and dear to venue owner, Dr. Heather Rorison's, heart. The animals have their own space on the estate just in case you're picturing goats sitting or FAINTING next to your dinner table!
The venue prides itself on giving its couples and their families ample opportunity to gather, discover and celebrate! It only books one wedding per weekend, affording families a chance to set up the day before the wedding. The scheduling also assures Brides get free reign of the home on their wedding day to dress and entertain bridesmaids and immediate family. The newlyweds also have an option on staying onsite in the honeymoon suite after their reception.
Tipsy Goat can accommodate about 225 guests in the ceremony space. Couples exchange vows surrounded by lush trees and serene sounds of a creek just feet away. Cocktail hour then follows on a classic southern patio. Eventually guests are led to the a rustic yet elegant 1920's barn for the reception. Couples have the option to hire the caterer of THEIR OWN CHOICE. Alcohol is also BYOB for the couple but served by a licensed bartender.
Whether you're planning a wedding or corporate event, Tipsy Goat Estate with its uniqueness along with its commitment to history, nature and customer satisfaction is a perfect contender.
Happy Planning!
